Guess what... In the past I already had a Test Recordings record theme. In the meantime I found some new ones, so here's the new Turntable Test Records theme....

because they are really bad....

Papa Oscars Dixielanders - Dixieland Favourites (I love Jazz, but hate Dixieland)
Jazz Band Ball Orchestra - We Love Jazz (Exactly, me too! but what you recorded in Poland in 1985 is not Jazz but Dixieland...)
Los Alegres - Coconut Woman (The Harry Belafonte version sounds alright, this version is ridiculous, and so is the rest of the record produced by Robert Jan Stips, in Holland well known from The Nits. btw: Is this the same person doing the jury work at dutch Idols?).

10cc - Bloody Tourist (not really 1980s: it's from 1978)
Gary Brooker - No More Fear of Flying
Sade - Diamond Life

Franky goes to Hollywood - Welcome to the Pleasuredome
Paul Simon - Graceland
UB40 - Signing Off

Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA
Prince - Purple Rain
Michael Jakson - Thriller

This week is (beautiful) girls cover time. In fact the covers are the only thing that make the records worthwhile because records themselves are IMHO very bad. And except for the Chris Barber one, I want to get rid of all of them....

Just some nice covers that did not fit in other themes so far..
  • Prelude - Deodato
  • London Philharmonic Orchestra - Space Odyssey
  • Suimasen - Flow
